About Berny
Berny the dog is the official mascot of Ayhan Emilianof Basketball Academy. He is a swiss dog wearing official AEBA uniforms and is known for his funny looks and entertaining the kids with his comic moves. Berny is also a popular figure in the community, appearing at various event and charity activities.
Berny is an integral part of the community programs of our academy and makes regular appearances at schools throughout the cities where AEBA has locations nearby.
Berny identifies with our academy from many perspectives.
He is a Saint Bernard dog originally from Switzerland. Is giant, calm, friendly dog breed and loves children. It has a very fast growth rate and his colour is typically a red shade with white. Although he has a gentle temperament, he is very strong and tenacious.
The St. Bernard was bred to be a working companion, is a hardworker and can be described as the best partner.

THE HERO
The story, The myth, The hero
Berny's story goes back in 2003. He had a happy but lonely life in beautiful Swiss Alps.
One day, Berny was wandering through snow joyfully and peaceful, when suddenly he smelled danger. Because he has a highly developed sense of smell, Berny was able to smell that something was wrong from miles away. After a few hours of mountain exploring, he spotted something moving in the snow. As he approached, he discovered a child who had lost the group he was with and was stuck in the snow. Alarmed, he began to seek help, but no one was to be found.
As time passed, the child got colder and colder. Then, Berny said one thing: Great things require great sacrifice. So he decided to use his special abilities and save the child's life. Berny gave the child to drink from his secret essence in the barrel around his neck so he doesn't feel cold anymore, manage to get him out of the snow and promised to take him back to his family.
After a hard, long and tiring journey in which Berny carried the kid on his back, when they were almost at their destination Berny fell down and couldn't walk anymore. Seeing this, the child ran as fast as he could to the nearest village and asked for help. Because the locals knew of Berny's reputation and the large number of rescues they immediately came to bring him to safety.
In the end, both made it back home safe and they became friends for life. Sharing stories with each other, the child found out that Berny likes children and Berny found out that the child likes to play basketball. This is how Berny became the child's biggest fan and an enthusiastic basketball supporter.
This story made the child the hundredth person saved by Berny over the years and the locals called him "The Hero".
