Your privacy is important to the Ayhan Emilianof Basketball Academy (AEBA) and its partners. This privacy statement provides information about the different types of personal information that we collect, use and disclose information that is directly or indirectly related to you as a person (”Personal Data”).
This information is particulary intended for:

This statement applies to any and all forms of use (”processing”) of personal data by us if you are a former, current or prospective member / customer of our company. If you provide us with data about other persons (e.g. family members or friends), we assume that you are authorised to do so and that the data is correct. Please ensure that the persons concerned have been informed about this privacy statement.

2. What types of personal data do we collect?
For websites users with whom we have not yet made contact, and have not transmitted data to us, we only collect technically necessary data that is automatically transmitted to our server by your browser (e.g., browser type/version, operating system used, referrer URL, pages accesed, lenght of visit, IP address, date and time of request) or that is required by technically necessary or functional cookies.
For prospective members / customers with whom we have not yet made contact, we collect (to the extent permitted by applicable law):

personal identification details (suchs as name, address, nationality), contact information (such as telephone, e-mail adress), and family details (such as name of children, birthdate / age).
For former and current members / customers or prospective members / customers with whom we are taking steps to enter into a business relationship, we collect (to the extent permitted by applicable law):

personal details such as your name, address and domicile, electronic adress, and family details such as the name, date of birth, height, health status, compliance related documents (including a copy of their national identity card, birth certificate or passport) , and language spoken of your children

where relevant, professional information about you, such as your job title and work experience

when you acces AEBA websites or some of our applications, your activity in our products or services, data transmitted by your browser or device you are using and automatically recorded by our server, including date and time of the access, name of the accessed file as well as the transmitted data volume and the performance of the access, your device, your web browser, browser language, requesting domain, and IP address (additional data will only be recorded via our websites if their disclosure is made voluntarily, e.g., in the course of a registration or request).
We may use cookies, tracking technologies and other means (e.g., web beacons, pixels, gifs, tags, unique indetifiers) to collect and process the above information from different channels and devices you use, including e-mail and applications.
We may use personal data for analytics and measurement (incl. machine learning) to process the information and for marketing purposes.
3. Sources of personal data
You often disclose personal data to us yourself, when you send us data or communicate with us. We do have to collect and process the personal data that is required for processing business relationships and fulfilling associated obligations or that is prescribed by law, as we would otherwise be unable to conclude or continue the business. We may also collect personal data about you ourselves or automatically, such as when you sign up for a membership and register your child to one of our training programs or use other offers. This may be technical data about your device, the transactions or your behaviour. For example, we can analyse the data collected during the registration process and, on this basis, make assumptions about your personal interests, preferences, affinities and habits. This enables us to tailor our offers and information to your individual needs and interest.
We may also receive information about you and/or your children from third parties, for instance, from companies with wich we cooperate, persons who communicate with us or other public sources.
We mai receive information about you and/or your children from the following third parties:

cooperation partners, e.g. schools or other educational institutions, after school-programs, as well as other sport clubs and sports organizations

4. Main purposes and legal bases for processing
We process personal data in connection with the initiation, administration and processing of business and contractual relationships.
For example, a business relationship exists when:

you register your child to one of our training programs or other services

you use our apps or other online services

the organization (sport club, academy, other types of legal entities) have concluded a contract with us

you and/or your child participate to one of our events

you book a ticket for a game or buy other products

the company you work for have concluded a contract with us.
If you are a member / customer, we process the data you provide us with when you register your child to one of our training programs, use other services or buy a product to fulfil our obligations. The purpose of processing generally comprises everything that is necessary or appropriate for delivery of our services or products.
For example, this includes processing to:

Member / Customer Onboarding:

to assess your registration and assign your children to a group according to age and current skill level

to perform all internal measures and procedures necessary for the centralization of the membership into our operational system.

to manage our relationship with you, including communicating with you in relation to the products and services you obtain from us and from our business partners, handling customer service-related queries and complaints, facilitating activities, making decisions regarding your membership, and canceling your membership if it remains inactive and we are unable to contact you after a period of time

to help us learn more about you as a member / customer, your preferences on the products and services you receive, and other products and services, including those offered by us, and our business partners you may be interested in receiving

Engaging in prospecting and business development and/or protecting and enhancing the AEBA brand:

to evaluate whether and how AEBA may offer products, services and events, including those offered by other business partners, that may be of interest to you

to contact you for direct marketing purposes about products and services we think will be of interest to you, including those offered by other business partners, and facilitating competitions, special offers and other opportunities

You can receive information, offers, customer satisfaction surveys, and newsletter on the topic of our products and services from us, or partner companies, via communication channels chosen by you, such as e-mail, messenger services, and telephone. If we ask for your consent, for example, when you subscribe to a newsletter, or fill up an online form, our legal basis for this processing is your consent. If we process your personal data for information and marketing activities without asking for your consent, we have concluded in individual cases that our legitimate interest provides a sufficient legal basis for corresponding processing.
We use both automated (including artificial intelligence) and manual methods to process your personal data for these purposes. Our automated methods often are related to and supported by manual methods. For example, our artificial intelligence systems may analyse your data to identify patterns and trends, wich are manually reviewed and interpreted by human.
Ayhan Emilianof Basketball Academy processes your personal data within the applicable legal framework. A legitimate interest of AEBA is in particular considered in the following instances. The processing is necessary to:

5. How do we protect personal data?
All AEBA employees accesing personal data must comply with our internal rules and processes in relation to the processing of your personal data to protect them and ensure their confidentiality.
6. Transfer of personal data to countries outside Switzerland and the European Economic Area
In most cases we do not transfer your personal data to countries outside Switzerland and the EEA. Subject to our franchising system, only the head office may receive personal data from other franchisees. Franchisees may only share personal data with each other if the data of persons being shared are involved in a joint activity.
Subject to our basketball activity, the personal data of an athlete / member / customer may be transferred to other sports organization, only if the athlete is being scouted for a potential transfer to another team/sports organization outside Switzerland or EEA.
7. How long do we store your data?
We will only retain personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purpose for wich it was collected or to comply with our internal policy requirements. We retaing your personal data:

in the case of business relationships or contracts, normally for at least the period of the relationship or contract with us plus ten years, reflecting the lenght of time for wich legal claims may be made following the termination of such relationships or contract

for as long as we have a legitimate interest of storing it
8. Your rights regarding your personal data
You have the right to object to data processing in conncetion with direct advertising at any time. You also have the following rights:
